Another Near-Miss Bike vs Vehicle (Lic#7PUL514) Collision occurred on Oct 13, 2018, on Summit Road near Juniper Campground! Fortunately, the cyclist was slowing down to stop at the Stop Sign! Even with all the safety improvements motorists are still passing ascending cyclists on Blind Curves nearly hitting descending cyclists!

On July 13, 2018, the Staff Counsel for California State Parks responded to our Public Records Act Request: "It is my understanding that there are no restrictions for joggers or pedestrians running or walking in the opposite direction of car and bicycle traffic on Mount Diablo State Park roads."

On June 23, 2018, a jogger was running toward oncoming Traffic!! Yikes, it happened again!! (Video: Turn Up the Volume) All three motorists and cyclists were surprised by the jogger in their lane!

On June 17, 2018, we sent an email to Ryen Goering (Park Superintendent) requesting the Mount Diablo State Park Policy concerning joggers running on the substandard lane (8-9ft) width roads towards oncoming traffic. Especially on Blind Curves! He has not responded to our email. So, on June 21, 2018, we sent a Public Records Act Request to California State Parks: "Please send us the Mount Diablo State Park policy/guidance/document that allows joggers and pedestrians to run/walk in the opposite direction of traffic as they travel up/down the roads."

On June 17, 2018, we send an email to Ryen Goering (Park Superintendent); requesting the policy for cyclists, joggers, pedestrians, and motorists sharing the substandard width lane (8-9ft) road on Mount Diablo State Park. Especially, joggers in the descending lane of a cyclist on Blind Curves!
